Leases offered for renegotiation show as ‘Open for Lease Application’ on the Lease Opportunity Viewer map. 

 

When leases are offered for renegotiation with the existing lessee, other parties may submit a Bonus Bid Application during a one month period following the legal advertisement of bonus bid period (five months prior to lease expiration). The existing lessee can match any bid submitted, and in that event, the bonus bid will be returned to the bidder.  If the existing lessee does not match the highest bonus bid submitted to DNR, the lease will be offered at public auction, where the highest bonus bid will be the minimum bid at auction.

 

If interested, please submit a Bonus Bid Application by date listed for each lease to the region office where the lease is located.  There may be approved reimbursable improvements on the property owned by the present lessee. Contact the land manager listed for each lease, for more information on the offered leases and leasehold improvements.
