Washington Trails Association - West Fork Trailwork Volunteer Vacation

May 23-29, 2024

Washington Trails Association is hosting a "Volunteer Vacation" in the Teanaway Community Forest.

Volunteer vacations are week-long work parties that connect volunteers with trail maintenance projects in beautiful locations throughout Washington.

On a volunteer vacation, you'll spend seven days giving back to trails and connecting with other volunteers. WTA provides all the tools, food, and kitchen equipment and sets up a cozy basecamp. All you have to bring is your own personal camping gear and a readiness to try something new. Since it is a vacation, you get a day off in the middle to explore your surroundings and relax between days of trail work.

This work will be new trail development for non-motorized trails, based out of the West Fork of the Teanaway Community Forest. Work will include use of hand tools including shovels, Pulaskis, McLeods, etc.

Schedule
  • Day 1 (Thurs):
Meet the crew rain or shine, and then set up camp.

  • Day 2-3 (Fri-Sat):
