Rule Making

Rules outline a state agency's policies and procedures when the rule involves the public or regulates an activity. DNR adopts, amends or appeals rules following the steps identified in the Washington Administrative Procedures Act Chapter 34.05 RCW, which also ensures public participation before a rule or law is approved. DNR registers its rulemaking activities once every six months in the form of a proposed rulemaking agenda.
