Lands to be Consolidated for More Efficient Management, Enhanced Public Access
The public is invited to a presentation and public hearing on June 2, 2025, about a proposed exchange of state trust lands. The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will present information and receive public comments about a proposal to trade up to 2,266.28 +/- acres in Clallam, Jefferson, & Grays Harbor Counties for up to 2,238.7 +/- acres of private property in Clallam County, with the objectives to consolidate trust lands, and to improve land management efficiencies for trust revenue.

DNR's future management of the acquired property will be for Common School trust revenue and for generating revenue for the other state trust beneficiaries (schools, colleges, public institutions, and counties).
