The Washington State Department of Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is accepting applications for this year’s Youth Art Contest with the theme of “Environmental Justice League.” Young people in grades K-12 are encouraged to submit an art project, using any medium, which depicts representations of environmental justice in action.

 

There are four grade into four categories: K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-12. Prizes will be awarded in each category: 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Select artwork will be displayed on the DNR website.

 

Artwork must be submitted by 9 p.m. April 18, 2023. Voting begins at 11 a.m. on April 19 and ends at 5 p.m. on April 26. Contest winners will be announced on April 27. Select artwork will be displayed on the DNR website.
