As part of DNR's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will include a remote participation option via Zoom Webinar; details are below.

Proposed Hantwick Inter-Trust Exchange, No. 86-100469
(An Exchange of Trust Designations)

DNR proposes to exchange approximately 80 +/- acres of Common School Trust holdings (Exchange Parcel A) for equal-valued State Forest Transfer Trust holdings (Exchange Parcels B-1, B-2, B-3). All parcels are located near Moulton Falls and the City of Battle Ground, and the Moulton Falls Trail crosses Parcel A. If completed, this re-designation of trust lands would allow for the future reconveyance of Parcel A to Clark County to manage for public park purposes, and Parcels B-1, B-2, and B-3 will be managed for revenue production for the Common School Trust.

Public Hearing: DNR will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Battle Ground City Hall – Council Chambers, 109 SW First St., Battle Ground, WA 98604.

The purpose of the hearing is to provide information and receive public testimony on the proposed Hantwick Inter-Trust Exchange, which will exchange equal-valued trust lands, so that the Common School Trust property will become State Forest Transfer Trust property, and the State Forest Transfer Trust property will become Common School Trust property.  Once exchanged, Parcel A will be State Forest Transfer Trust property and positioned for a second transaction, which will transfer it to Clark County by reconveyance, to be used for public park purposes.
