Documents related to DNR’s interim marbled murrelet conservation strategy

A description of DNR’s interim marbled murrelet strategy can be found in the trust lands Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP, p. IV-39). Since the HCP was signed in 1997, DNR and the US Fish and Wildlife Service have worked to fine-tune aspects of the interim strategy’s implementation, which has been documented in concurrence letters between the two agencies. These letters describe topics specific to a particular HCP planning unit:

• Implementation of the interim strategy in North Puget planning unit
• Implementation of the interim strategy in South Puget planning unit

In 2012, the interim strategy was modified with a minor amendment to the HCP. The amendment relates only to the southwest Washington planning units—detailed in the following correspondence:
