The Division of Geology and Earth Resources successfully completed statewide 1:100,000-scale digital geologic coverage of Washington in 2000. The focus of this project originally was on the production of a geologic database in ARC/INFO coverage format. In order to make these data more widely usable, we have merged the quadrangle-based coverages into a statewide database, which was then converted into ESRI shapefiles that can be used in a variety of geographic information systems (GIS) applications.
These data are superseded by those available on our GIS Data page.
