Celebration of Arbor Day set for Olympia next week
Commissioner Goldmark will lead tree planting at Capitol Campus

OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will celebrate Arbor Day on Wednesday, April 14, at 2:00 p.m. on the Capitol Campus near Tivoli Fountain.

Commissioner of Public Lands Peter Goldmark will be joined by representatives of the Department of General Administration, Puget Sound Energy, and the cities of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater. DNR will be presenting Tree City Awards. Olympia will also receive their 6th Tree Growth award, and a Tree Line award will be given to Puget Sound Energy. Trees will be planted in celebration of Arbor Day, and the event will be held rain or shine.

When:  Wednesday, April 14, 2:00 p.m.

Where:  Capitol Campus near Tivoli Fountain
