OBTAINING DIVISION OF GEOLOGY PUBLICATIONS
All of our publications are available online as PDFs through our publications list. If a publication is listed as "in print", a hard copy may be purchased through the Washington State Department of Printing online store. See below for details. Publications listed as "web only" are not available for purchase.
IN-PRINT PUBLICATIONS
Our publications list indicates which Washington Division of Geology and Earth Resources publications are in print. They can be purchased from the Washington State Department of Printing myFULFILLMENT online store. To order, note the publication series, number, and title of the desired publication(s) before using the online store or visiting the Department of Printing in person (see the Department of Printing website for address and directions). If you use the online store, select “myFULFILLMENT” on the right side of the screen. In the left panel, select “Fulfillment (By Agency), then “Natural Resources (Geology Division)”. Publications in the General Store are organized by series, and listed prices include shipping and handling; follow the website instructions to complete your purchase.
OUT-OF-PRINT PUBLICATIONS
Many of our publications are out of print and no longer available for sale, but these, as well as publications still in print, are listed in our online bibliography and can be viewed online or consulted at many public, university, and technical libraries. These publications can also be used in the Washington Geology Library in Olympia. If a publication is not on file at your local library, ask your librarian to arrange an interlibrary loan.
Out-of-print items are sometimes returned to the Division and are made available ‘first-come, first-served’. Availability changes often; e-mail librarian lee.walkling@dnr.wa.gov for current availability.
