Research on Forested DNR-Managed Lands
Interested in Doing Research in the OESF?
DNR seeks to support outside research in the Olympic Experimental State Forest (OESF). Please refer to the research catalog to review past research and monitoring activities.
Researchers interested in access to DNR lands within the OESF are encouraged to review the OESF Research and Monitoring Program document. Then consider preparing a research proposal consistent with the OESF program objectives and mission.
For more information contact Teodora Minkova, the Olympic Experimental State Forest Research and Monitoring Manager.
Interested in Doing Research on other Forested State Trust Lands?
We encourage those interested in performing research on DNR-managed forest lands outside the OESF to talk with us about your ideas and proposals. We can work with you to find an appropriate site, secure permits and connect you with the best people to work with. To start the process, please contact Richard Bigley, research and adaptive management lead for trust lands.
