EARTH SCIENCE WEEK
October 11–17, 2009
Sponsored by the American Geological Institute (AGI), Earth Science Week is an annual national event that encourages people everywhere to explore the natural world and learn about the geosciences and stewardship of the Earth. The theme for Earth Science Week 2009 is "Understanding Climate," a timely and vital topic, considering current interest in global warming and climate change. The DNR Division of Geology and Earth Resources and several organizations will hold Earth Science Week activities open to the public.
