Information was provided and vetted by many natural resource agencies and scientists. References and resources are listed at the back of the document.
While this popular document was published in 1998, it offers clear easy-to-read background on our states landscapes and natural resources, and the challenges to the health of those resources since statehood in 1889. Also, it provides a starting point for teachers and their students to study the changes and trends during the past 10 years.
