Fireworks & wildlands don’t mix
If you plan on camping or spending time outdoors this 4th of July weekend, be safe and plan ahead. Please do your part to prevent wildfires. Remember that fireworks are illegal on state protected and public lands.

(Please note: Due to budget constraints, DNR is reducing services at many of its recreation facilities. However, there may not be amenities such as outhouses, picnic tables, signs, or garbage service. Please pack-out what you pack-in. Some gates may be locked, and access will be by foot only.)

Volunteers are a vital component of stewardship activities at DNR. Each year, they contribute thousands of hours to such projects as  recreation trails, removing invasive species from natural areas, and identifying rare plants.
