Weather carries smoke from eastern Washington fires
911 centers in southwest Washington inundated with smoke reports
OLYMPIA –Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is asking media outlets to help get the word out about the growing presence of smoke in western Washington from eastern Washington fires.

Reporting forest fires
Anyone who sees a column of smoke should report it to 911 or 800-562-6010. Over the next day or so there will be increasing buildup of smoke from existing fires east of the mountains. There is no need for residents to report the presence of smoke in the air.
