Abstract:
Created 11/99 by D. Collins for Forest Practices Forest and
Fish Emergency Rules, becoming part of FP Permanent Rules in
7/01/02. Updated to reflect current WRIA and WAU boundaries
as of 10/30/02. Renamed ewline from ewdivide, June, 2003.
This coverage divides Washington State into two sections,
east side and west side for the purposes of designing various
Forest Practices Rules that differ according to which side of
the state the rule is applied to.
This east-west division is described in the Washington Forest
Practices Rules and Regulations book, July 1, 2001. Refer to
Chapter 222-16, Definitions; page 16-6 for east side:
"Eastern Washington means the geographic area in Washington
east of the crest of the Cascade Mountains from the
international border to the top of Mt. Adams, then east of
the ridge line dividing the White Salmon River drainage to
the Washington-Oregon State line."
For the west side, refer to same chapter, page 16-19.
"Western Washington" means the geographic area of Washington
west of the Cascade crest and the drainages defined in
Eastern Washington."
