DNR Environmental & Legal Strategies Section
The Environmental and Legal Strategies section is responsible for consulting on and processing SEPA proposals; coordinating and responding to public records requests; and coordinating the agency’s rule making efforts. This ensures that we consistently apply rules and laws across the agency, assures that rules are consistent with the requirements of the Office of the Code Reviser, and minimizes DNR’s exposure to legal risk. For the public, it provides a one-stop shop for getting answers to SEPA questions and meeting information needs through public records requests.
