Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund (CESCF) "Section 6"
The Section 6 Program provides Federal Grant funding for projects to acquire, enhance and protect land in perpetuity to benefit threatened and endangered species in support of state and federally recognized Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs).
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) works in partnership with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to administer and implement the nationally competitive Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund. Individuals or groups interested in conserving, developing and protecting existing and emerging habitat lands may seek federal funding by working with DNR or WDFW.
