 School Funding & Trust Beneficiaries

School Funding and Trust Beneficiaries

Here’s where to find information about earnings from state trust lands that help build or remodel our public schools, universities and more. Much of this funding comes from sustainable and environmentally responsible harvesting of timber on state trust lands. Some of it comes from leasing trust lands to farmers and ranchers to grow wheat, apples, wine grapes, other crops, and for grazing. Other leases are for the right to explore for natural gas, and others earn revenue from renewable energy like wind power.

You also can look up information about the funding state trust lands provide to your county for public safety, libraries, parks, and other services.
