Public hearing on February 27 about proposed exchange of parcels between state trusts
OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources will conduct a public hearing in Port Hadlock on February 27 about a proposal to exchange the trust designations between several parcels of state trust land in Jefferson County.

| Why:||To provide information and receive public testimony on the Beausite Lake Inter-Trust Land Exchange. The exchange would position state trust land not suitable for income production for a potential transfer to Jefferson County to use for recreation, open space, or wildlife habitat as authorized by the 2013-2015 Trust Land Transfer legislation.|

After receiving a summary of the public testimony, the Board of Natural Resources will consider the exchange at a regularly scheduled board meeting.

Portion of Sections 27, 28 and 34, T29N, R1W, W.M., Jefferson County, Washington.
- Common School trust property located near Anderson Lake – A portion of this property would change from Common School trust to State Forest Land trust: Portion of Section 16, T29N, R1W, W.M., Jefferson County, Washington.
