Hearing scheduled on proposed state trust land exchange in Benton County
DNR and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates would exchange 15-acre parcels
OLYMPIA – A public hearing is scheduled on March 18 to provide information and receive comments from the public about a proposed land exchange between the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Ltd.

Why: | To provide information and receive testimony on a proposed land exchange known as the Canoe Ridge Land Exchange. The proposal calls for DNR and Ste. Michelle to exchange two 15-acre parcels in Benton County. The exchange is intended to increase DNR’s land management efficiency and long-term revenue for the Common School Trust, which funds public school statewide. If DNR determines that the proposal has significant benefits, a summary of the hearing testimony will be presented to the Board of Natural Resources at one of its regularly scheduled meetings. |

Paterson is located on the Columbia River in south-central Washington at the intersection of Washington State Hwy. 14 and Hwy. 221, approximately 14 miles west of the Hwy. 14 / I-82 interchange.
