State DNR schedules March 2 hearing in Pasco on proposed exchange of state trust land with city
OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold a public hearing in Pasco on March 2 to receive comments about a proposed exchange of state trust land with the City of Pasco.
Date: March 2, 2011
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Council Chambers, Pasco City Hall, 525 N 3rd Ave., Pasco, WA 99301
Purpose of proposed exchange
DNR proposes to exchange an agriculture parcel it has managed for several years. DNR would receive a portion of a city-owned farm property. The exchange would help DNR to consolidate state trust lands, increase land management efficiency and provide long-term trust revenue that helps build public schools, universities and other public institutions.
Maps and descriptions of the parcels proposed for exchange will be available at the hearing. The maps and description are also on the DNR website: www.dnr.wa.gov. Click on the “Leasing and Land Transactions” link. Then, under the heading “Land Exchanges,” select “Proposed Trust Land Exchanges.”
