REMINDER: DNR public meeting about Sultan Basin ‘reconveyance’ is July 13 in Sultan
OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold a public meeting on July 13 to receive comments and provide information about a request by Snohomish County to transfer state trust land in Sultan Basin from state to county ownership. Under state law, the county must use the land for public park purposes.

The trust land under consideration is approximately 150 acres located on Sultan Basin Road, north of the City of Sultan. A public meeting on the matter was also held in October 2008.
