Skagit Bald Eagle NAP
Skagit Bald Eagle NAP

This 1,546-acre area is a critical bald eagle winter roosting site.  The area complements areas protected along the Skagit River which provide habitat for bald eagles feeding on salmon carcasses.  The site has mature forests of Douglas-fir, Pacific silver fir, Western hemlock, and Western red cedar which eagles prefer for protective winter night roosts.  (Skagit County)
