Goose Island NAP Aerial

This 12-acre sandy island in Grays Harbor has supported a large colony of nesting seabirds including gulls, brants, and long billed curlew.  This has been a historic nesting site for caspian terns.  Following winter storms, the shifting dunes on this island were re-colonized by vegetation and nesting birds as the ecosystem was rebuilt.  (Grays Harbor County)
